We hope to capture the richness and diversity of our Canadian Eating Disorder community in both the submitted abstracts and at the conference. Full details on how to submit abstracts can also be downloaded here.

Instructions for Submitting an Abstract

•  Abstracts must be in English or French (communications will be given in English; accepted presentations to be delivered in English), may not exceed 250 words and must be submitted electronically to:  david.pilon@cdha.nshealth.ca
• It is the responsibility of the first author to verify that all co‐author(s) (if applicable) consent to be included on the abstract and that one or more of the authors agree to register, attend and present at the conference.

Abstracts Must Include the Following:

• Identification of abstract as a call for workshop, paper or poster.
• The title of the abstract.
• List of author(s) (Last name, first name) and professional designation.
• Program affiliation (please include city, province) of each author (if different from the first author).
• Disclosure Statement – Include any involvement with industry or other organizations that may potentially influence the presentation of educational material.

Please use the following headings:

For workshops:

• Background – describes the context for the workshop
• Learning Objectives – states learning expectations from the workshop
• Case Presentation – summarize the case if relevant
• Interactive Component – summarize if relevant
• Discussion – summary of the relevant teaching points from the workshop

For papers or posters:

• Background
• Purpose
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusions

Continue reading »]]> EDAC-ATAC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on December 15, 2011, at 9-11 AM PST / 11-1 PM CST / 12-2 PM EST.  The AGM is the official forum for EDAC-ATAC to conduct the association’s business. All current members and guests are welcome to attend.

We will be holding this year’s AGM via teleconference.   If you are interested in attending, please contact eileen (d0t) lam (at) sickkids.ca for the local and toll-free call-in details.

October 11-12, 2012
Halifax, Nova Scotia  

The third biennial EDAC-ATAC National Conference will be held in Halifax.  The local planning committee is actively considering conference themes, venues, keynotes and social opportunities. 

For those wishing to visit early or to extend their stay after the conference, a trip around Cape Breton’s renown Cabot Trail, a visit to the Annapolis Valley or exploring the coastline and many beaches of the Nova Scotian South Shore will sure to delight.

We look forward to hosting our friends and colleagues from around the country and promise that there will be music, great food and lots of down east hospitality!
